Our Story
Wild Saga Photography is based on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington, where forests, mountains, and coastline meet. The work focuses on wildlife, birds, and natural landscapes, including scenes from her own Wild Thistle Farm, photographed with patience, respect, and a deep connection to place.
Michelle was born on Vancouver Island Canada, grew up in Australia, and later lived in London UK for over a decade before settling in the Pacific Northwest. Travel across all seven continents has shaped how she observes and documents the natural world, from cold extremes to the wilds of Africa, the busy cities of Asia, the history and architecture of Europe, and the landscapes of the Americas.
Her love of photography began early, learning darkroom developing and composition with film cameras. That foundation continues today in an image-first approach that values light, timing, and storytelling. The word “saga” comes from her Icelandic ancestry and reflects a belief that every place and moment has a story worth preserving.
